ground cloves with coconut oil scratches and stops enbril injection site itchiness.

Reading an herbal remedy book, I read ground cloves is an effective local anesthetic.  I mix it thick into just enough coconut oil to bind them, and rub it happily into the very very itchy injection site. The finely ground cloves really get into the itch and then numbs the skin.

Today I hoik my clove scented self into my power scooter.  Kia and I roll toward the library. Closed. So let's roll through the neighborhood on that side of Thousand oaks.  A lady in a Honda SUV stops and rolls her window down: Have you seen two Great Danes walking around? No.  I wish.  The idea of this inspires a funny Two Dane Walking Song.

Make up your own words.

Making summer clothes that are easy to wear for a handicapped person using Silhouette patterns. Thanks, Peggy Sagers!

Easy on and off, with 8" pleat center back to give sitting and moving in a wheelchair ease.  This has a black knit 3/4 sleeve cardi top, magnetic snap at neck.
This linen version is adapted from Silhouette pattern, Zoannes coat.

Scootering the dog puts fresh air into my brain, as i wait for my right knee replacement surgery

The dog Kia may get as many walks as any dog in San Antonio. I clip her to the lead, loop in round the scooter for backup, and we walk. She walks, I ride.  On the couch, watching Mortdecai, Kia  stands there and barks. BARK! Its business, its business time.

I get myself ready and scooter walk we go.

"and it is a sort of accomplishment, I suppose." Elizabeth Bennet.

Handicap Home Tiddlywinks. Keep sharp the tossing skills. Accuracy and occasional accidental flair. I toss a tight stack of five small paintings toward the historical stacks.  You are dead to me now, young Jim...

The 5 unfurl and glide along the smooth length of the tabletop, smack the spray bottle amidships.  Wow, I've invented Home Handicap Tiddlywinks.

Our tournaments are sharing our tossing skills, whoever joins. You'll get your turn, same as everybody else.  Once you keep learning, you have your place in line. If you want to play, then play.

The Antibiotic Knee Spacer is Good Enough for a Knee for Me

For a time. I can stand on it. I can stiffly walk.  My other one screeches.  Living life from a wheelchair and power scooter is a happy event.  Less strain and pain. Moving sideways.

I eat plenty of yogurt and cheese. The living is easy. Red wine. Sometimes I don't see the value in misery, when I'm not too busy thinking miserable thoughts.

I could spend the rest of my energy in hospital, in recovery. I just don't want to put carts before horses.  I will keep drawing on Growing Woman, and enjoy that for awhile.

Handicap Dressing; GEORGIO'S top in Krinkle Cotton. Disaster? not yet.

Easy on and easy off cards, based on Giorgio's top. Krinkle gauze breathes well,  and is easier to spring out of shape. I think a cardigan top will keep shape. Thanks to Silhouette Pattern Giorgio's top, It has a good shape! The planning is going well, and an early success is in front of me.

the wind can be a teacher. In imaginationn brain, you may travel like a leaf in the wind..

I feel solid enough to become a statue,   but I am seeking alternatives
one is found when

I have the feeling despair is not quite the only response

people who are alive to other people, even on you tube, are showing me another way to be in the world:  i say yes!

i can travel to who I was

the thoughts and the will meet

the teachers who are in the world

To Be a Handicapped Person

The ones who haven't the courage to speak their mind, to be what they are, not what they seem to be, take their mistaken identity and cram it onto me.

I haven't the energy to face the many-headed hydra erupting from this.
A scapegoat is always on the outside. To be a scapegoat is to BE outside.
Outside looking out. One step closer to the world I see that is outside the world they see.
Here, not even in a spaceship, there are enough resources for me to play, to laugh, to enjoy freedom.

Having a physical disability makes others sad

Surprise! Little girl! Having a physical disability makes others sad. Ho can you play with a handicap person? The risk of hurting feelings is great. The smile is pasted, and the words are courteous.

You're in the grocery store, using the electric cart. Eye level are small children. These people are keenly interested in looking into you through your eyes. Maybe their parents whisper Don't Stare! And Disability Mimi loses an honest appraisal and a chance to hear anything.

Parental Unit; to be looked at is to be human, to be ignored, bored.
